This people for people one software License is for a single user, not based on cpu,
to accomodate a single artist or architect with many cpus for working and/or rendering at one office or studio.
Conversely, this single user license is not for use on a multi-user station or network, ie. in a university computer lab or multi-station firm.
This agreement has been the same for many years.

License Agreement
PEOPLE FOR PEOPLE IS WILLING TO LICENSE THE SOFTWARE UPON THE
CONDITION THAT YOU ACCEPT ALL OF THE TERMS CONTAINED IN THIS LICENSE AGREEMENT.
PLEASE READ THE TERMS CAREFULLY BEFORE PLACING YOUR ORDER.
YOUR ORDER WILL INDICATE YOUR ASSENT TO THEM.
IF YOU HAVE RECEIVED THE SOFTWARE WITHOUT REVIEWING THIS AGREEMENT,
PLEASE READ THE TERMS CAREFULLY PRIOR TO USING THE SOFTWARE,
USING THE SOFTWARE WILL INDICATE YOUR ASSENT TO THEM.
PEOPLE FOR PEOPLE SOFTWARE LICENSE
1. Grant of License.
People for people grants to you the limited, non-exclusive right and license to use the accompanying people for people computer program, data, and documentation (the "Software") subject to the terms and conditions hereof
2. Authorized Use.
A separate license for the Software must be purchased for each user regardless of whether use is concurrent or separate. This means, the software may not be loaded on a network unless a license has been purchased for each user able to access any portion of the Software on the network. The Software may not be loaded on a single computer accessible to more than one person unless a license has been purchased for each user who accesses the Software on the computer.
You may modify, adapt, translate, and create derivative works based on, Software data that comprise the models of people. You may distribute only your works produced by rendering or by plotting and/or printing screen displays of the three-dimensional models of people, including animation, still images and graphic works, provided the rendered or plotted images of the Software are not a substantial portion of the value of goods distributed commercially.
People for people acknowledges that in order to use the people for people one Software it may be necessary to copy the models and manual from and to various storage medium, devices and to your project files. Only the licensed user may copy people for people files, data or any portion of data, and access the data, only in this limited use and only as allowed under "Authorized Use" section above.
You agree not to make nor to permit the making of copies of the Software or any portion of the Software except as authorized by this License Agreement or as otherwise authorized in writing by people for people.
You may not distribute any part of Software data that comprise the models of people, or derivative works of people for people models, either in modified or unmodified form. You may not copy any written or graphic materials included in or accompanying the Software.
3. Term.
The term of the license granted herein shall be perpetual unless terminated by written notice by you or terminated by either party for material breach. Immediately upon termination of this license for any reason, you shall return to people for people all copies of the Software and documentation or destroy all files and copies that you hold.
4. Copyright.
The Software and Software Documentation is owned by people for people, and is protected by United States copyright laws and international treaty provisions. You are authorized to make only copies of the Software for backup or archival purposes. People for people remains the owner of all right, title, and interest in the Software, and any copies of it.
5. Transfers.
You may transfer the Software and all rights under this Agreement on a permanent basis provided you retain no copies of any portion of the Software and the recipient agrees to the terms of this Agreement. Any such transfer must include all updates and prior versions of the Software and documentation, and notice must be timely given by you to people for people that such transfer has taken place.
6. Other Restrictions.
You agree not to sublicense, rent, or lease the Software. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or
disassemble the Software for any purpose.
You acknowledge people for
people's claim that the Software embodies valuable trade secrets proprietary to people for people.
You may not disclose any information regarding the internal operations of the Software to others, or
use any such information except for purposes expressly authorized herein.
LIMITED WARRANTY, LIMITED REMEDIES
If diskettes, or CD or accompanying items were PHYSICALLY damaged when you received them (which includes medium that cannot be read properly by an appropriate computer), you may obtain replacements at no additional expense by request within sixty (60) days of your date of purchase. People for people reserves the right to require you to return the defective items people for people software within sixty (60) days with a brief written description of the defect and proof of purchase.
EXCEPT FOR THIS LIMITED WARRANTY, PEOPLE FOR PEOPLE PROVIDES THE SOFTWARE "AS-IS," AND MAKES NO OTHER WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. NO EMPLOYEE, AGENT, DEALER OR ANY THIRD PARTY IS AUTHORIZED TO MODIFY THIS LIMITED WARRANTY, NOR TO MAKE ANY ADDITIONAL WARRANTIES.
YOU HAVE NO OTHER REMEDIES IN CONNECTION WITH THE SOFTWARE OR YOUR USE OF IT, INCLUDING FOR BREACH OF CONTRACT, WARRANTY OR NEGLIGENCE, OR UNDER STRICT LIABILITY, OR FOR DIRECT, INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, EVEN IF YOU HAVE ADVISED PEOPLE FOR PEOPLE OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. IN NO EVENT SHALL PEOPLE FOR PEOPLE BE LIABLE FOR DAMAGES WITH RESPECT TO THE PROGRAM WHICH EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO PEOPLE FOR PEOPLE.
THIS LIMITED WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS; YOU MAY HAVE OTHERS WHICH MAY VARY FROM STATE TO STATE. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR THE LIMITATION ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY LASTS, SO THAT SOME OF THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
GOVERNMENT USE
People for people represents that the Software and its documentation were developed at private expense and no part of same is in the public domain. The Software is Commercial Computer Software provided with RESTRICTED RIGHTS under the Federal Acquisition Regulations and agency supplements to them. Use, duplication, or disclosure by the U.S. Government is subject to the restrictions as set forth in subparagraph (c)(1)(ii)of the Rights in Technical Data and Computer Software clause at DFAR 252.227-7013 et. seq. or subparagraphs (c)(1) and (2) of the Commercial Computer Software Restricted Rights at DFAR 52.227-19, as applicable. Contractor is people for people software, in San Luis Obispo, CA. Rights are reserved under the copyright laws of the United States regarding unpublished portions of the Software.
EXPORT LAW ASSURANCES
You acknowledge and agree that the Software is subject to restrictions and controls imposed by the United States Export Administration Act (the "Act") and the regulations thereunder. You agree and certify that neither the Software nor any adaptation thereof is being or will be acquired, shipped, transferred or re-exported, directly or indirectly, into any country prohibited by the Act and the regulations thereunder, nor will it be used for any purpose prohibited by the same.
GOVERNING LAW AND GENERAL PROVISIONS
This Agreement and Limited Warranty shall be construed, interpreted and governed by the laws of the State of California, U.S.A. If any provision is found void, invalid or unenforceable, it will not affect the validity of the balance of this Agreement and Limited Warranty which shall remain valid and enforceable according to its terms. If any remedy here under is determined to have failed of its essential purpose, all limitations of liability and exclusions of damages set forth herein shall remain in full force and effect. This Agreement and Limited Warranty may only be modified in writing signed by you and people for people software.All rights not specifically granted in this Agreement are reserved by people for people. You agree that this Agreement is the complete and exclusive statement of agreement between the parties which supersedes all proposals, oral or written, relating to the subject matter hereof.
This License Agreement is effective upon your use of the software. You agree that people for people need not sign this agreement for it to take effect.
